Samantha Vauter
Samantha Vauter is a student at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, where she studies classical sculpture under the guidance of master artists and scholars. In addition to her studies, she serves as the Social Media Chair for the Society of Connecticut Sculptors, managing the organization’s online presence and promoting the work of fellow members.
Her personal work draws inspiration from nature, childhood, and whimsy. Her sculptures often incorporate opulent yellow gold and brightly colored gemstones, drawing meaning and symbolism from this.
Samantha believes that one’s work is a reflection of the inner self, always evolving and changing, but holding on to what is essential to the individual. She is at an experimental time, learning what holds her and what does not.
