Christopher Morrissey is an artist and musician based in Southeastern Connecticut. His sculptural work explores a blend of Abstract Realism and the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, embracing imperfection, transience, and the expressive potential of material. Through nuanced color, texture, and form, Morrissey aims to create a synesthetic experience that engages the senses while conveying an emotional narrative.

With a background shaped by study and collaboration at institutions such as the Lyme Art Association and the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, his work reflects both technical discipline and creative exchange. Morrissey approaches sculpture as a collaborative process, often acknowledging the contributions of fellow artists, casters, and patina specialists.

The green and blue portrait was developed in a workshop with Kaelin Palcu at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, with both casting and patination completed by Meluzzo.

The final portrait was created during a workshop with Eudald De Juana at the Lyme Academy, and was cast by Meluzzo.
